After almost two years in the making, igaban BB, a big band formed by Japan's top musicians and led by Makoto Igarashi, who has supported numerous artists, arranged horn sections and large ensembles, and provided music for various scenes, has finally completed its third album, "Someone Who Loves It" is now complete. The jacket illustration was newly written by Ilya Kubushinobu, a very popular illustrator, and is a gorgeous spec! IGABAN BB is a big band composed of Japan's top musicians and led by Makoto Igarashi (trombone, etc.), who is active in various scenes as an artist support, studio work, horn section, arranger for large ensembles, and music provider. The band has many original tunes composed by Makoto Igarashi, and has released its first album "Smile" in 2012 and second album "Sing without Song" in 2017. Many of the shows they have held in Tokyo and its suburbs have been sold out and well received.In 2016, the band was in charge of the opening and ending songs for NHK's "Tanken Bakumon," and has a reputation as a "big band that can be truly enjoyed" not only by jazz fans but also by a wide range of audiences. Makoto Igarashi studied music again from scratch and finally completed his third album "Someone Who Loves It" with his big band, Iga Bang BB, after about two years of production. The album is full of ideas that no one has ever heard before, a series of stunning improvised solos, and the colorful big band sound realized by layering 8 layers of music, which is beyond genres and has an impact on a wide range of people. The album also includes self-written liner notes by Makoto Igarashi himself, and the jacket illustration is by Ilya Kubushinobu, known for his character design for "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045" and other works.
