Barthold Kuiken ACCENT RecordingsA collection of French flute masterpieces by Barthold Kuiken, the virtuoso flutist Barthold Kuiken. CD1 features works by 18th century French composers, all of which are important to the flutist's repertoire. CD 1 is a collection of works by Monteclair, Bravais, Guignon, Boismortier, and Leclair, recorded in 1979, the year the ACCENT label was founded. The founder, Andreas Glatt, was both an instrument maker and an accomplished recorder player. CD11 Dovienne's Flute Quartets, recorded in 2003, is a valuable first step for the ACCENT label, which is renowned for its recordings that are close to the musicians and their works. Franois Dovienne has been called the "French Mozart.
